«Karnofsky scoring»
The Karnofsky score runs from 100 to 0, where 100 is «perfect» health and 0 is death. Although the score has been described with intervals of 10, a practitioner may choose decimals if he or she feels a patient’s situation holds somewhere between two marks. It is named after Dr David A. Karnofsky, who described the scale with Dr Joseph H. Burchenal in 1949.[1]
100% – normal, no complaints, no signs of disease
90% – capable of normal activity, few symptoms or signs of disease
80% – normal activity with some difficulty, some symptoms or signs
70% – caring for self, not capable of normal activity or work
60% – requiring some help, can take care of most personal requirements
50% – requires help often, requires frequent medical care
40% – disabled, requires special care and help
30% – severely disabled, hospital admission indicated but no risk of death
20% – very ill, urgently requiring admission, requires supportive measures or treatment
10% – moribund, rapidly progressive fatal disease processes
0% – death.

Å kunne vise til seriøs forskning og dokumenterte resultater er viktig.
Noe annet: På den nevnte bloggen overfor, står følgende:

Leste bloggen til Carlos som har vært hos KDM. Jeg sendte ham en e-post og spurte om hans erfaringer sett i lys av at han fortsatt oppsøker ulike leger.
Her er svaret jeg fikk:
«Is hard to reccomend or disreccomend a doctor or his treatments, as for CFS what works for some of us, might not work for others…
I think that is helpful to have his labtest, and part of his treatment as well, but the part of antibiotics, I am not so in agreement, unless he has detected a pathogen and is justified then the use of antibiotics… but what I felt in my case is that he was trying to kill things in general, withouth really tewlling you which was the target… and that part I do not like, because you also kill the immune system of your flora…
I can recommend Dr. Josepa Rigau in Spain, and Dr. Alex Konold in Munich, the last one is much more an alternative therapy that might or might not work on you, in my case has been helpful, but I was already feeling much better due to Josepa Rigau…

Jeg skal selv til KDM, og jeg syns at det er nyttig å høre ulike synspunkter. Heldigvis er ikke denne behandlingen avhengig av «blind tro»…

Erfaringer og synspunkter er alltid hjertelig velkomne her på denne bloggen. Også de som kanskje ikke vitner om fullt så gode resultater. Det er nyttig å lese andre, som også har prøvd den samme behandlingen, sine erfaringer. Og som jeg har skrevet hele tiden; det er ikke sikkert KDM finner noe eller kan hjelpe deg, men sansynligheten er stor for at akkurat han kan hjelpe deg.
Ut i fra den siste setningen din aner det meg at du kanskje er litt skeptisk til Lightning Process 😉 Det er helt greit, for det er jeg også 🙂
